- This was no mistake considering that there's a new set of fees being imposed in Spain
- Starting in January, Spain's legislation will require every Spanish publication like "Google News" for showing a snippet of their article
- Google is expected to shut down the service and pull Spanish publishers with Google News no longer being available on December 16
- Google's News service was launched in 2002
- Since then it grew to include 72 different editions
- 30 different languages
- Over 50,000 stories
